Ingredients

  • 1/2 pound cleaned and deveined shrimp
  • 1 shallot, chopped
  • 1 poblano pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 basil leaves, chopped and used as garnish
  • 1 package pastry puff dough
  • Lysanders meat seasoning
  • Sea salt
  • Black pepper
  • Cumin

Directions

  • Using an oven safe steam bag add chopped peppers and tomatoes, drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1 pinch of sea salt, black pepper and a sprinkle of cumin
  • Bake for 15–20 minutes at 350 degrees
  • Season shrimp with juice from one lemon, 1 pinch of sea salt, 1 teaspoon of black pepper and 1 tablespoon of olive oil; mix together and allow to marinate for 30 minutes
  • Season steak with Lysanders meat seasoning, allow to marinate for at least 30 minutes
  • Roll out pastry puff sprinkle flour on both sides to prevent sticking
  • Using your favorite cookie cutter cut out enough shapes to feed your guests
  • Lightly brush each pastry puff shape with a mixture of butter, olive oil and chopped garlic
  • Bake for 15–18 minutes at 350 degrees
  • Place a sauté pan on medium heat, add chopped shallot and 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • Cook until shallots become translucent
  • Add steak and cook both sides for 6–8 minutes
  • Remove steak and add shrimp to the same sauté pan. Cook until both sides of the shrimp are pink
  • Slice steak into this pieces
  • Top pastry puffs with thinly sliced steak, shrimp, peppers and tomatoes
  • Sprinkle with chopped basil leaves
